We arrived 20 minutes ahead of schedule, in spite of the potential threat of Typhoon #22. The flight was mildly bumpy at times, but nothing worrisome. The students did very well - so well that one of the senior flight attendants commented about how good they had been and gave them all a pair of airline wings! Our luck held as immigration, luggage and customs took mere minutes. Only a couple of students dozed on the train into Kyoto where we had ramen for dinner, but most of them crashed, as I thought they would, on the 45-minute bus ride to the youth hostel. We made it without a hitch and everyone is now in bed and sound asleep.
