Typhoon #24

Another typhoon has worked its way up from the south then turned northeast along the Japan Sea.  It is a fast moving storm with sustained winds of 50 mph and rain.  While it hit western Japan fairly hard, there has been relatively little damage and the storm is weakening.  Up to this point our weather has been quite nice, although hot.  We are in no danger.  In fact, the local weather report is for only a 50% chance of rain this afternoon (and only cloudy skies tomorrow), even though the storm is expected to pass right over us about 3:00 PM today.  We fully expect to be able to go about our activities today as planned.
