Kyoto and Nanao

We made it! It was a long day with a slight bump in the road, but the weather was amazing, the temple was beautiful and we made it to Nanao. We visited one last temple in Kyoto and then did a little bit of shopping before heading to the train station. At the train station everyone got to pick out a bento box to eat on the way to Nanao. When we arrived the families were waiting for us with signs, holding balloons and the kids were excited and nervous about what to expect next. Hailey knocked it out the park with her speech. Great job!! It's so nice to be back and it's now time for the next part of this great adventure.

Train Delay

Due to a major delay due to a train incident (not ours) we were delayed over an hour. Our train

was at a complete stand still and once it got going we were informed that we would miss our connection. However Setsuko was informed and came to our rescue with a bus. We are now on our way to Nanao. The kids have received onigiri

to tide them over till our arrival. Pics of our day along with the usual blog update will resume upon arrival 

Kyoto sight seeing

Today Jr Wingers got to visit a couple of the  beautiful temples of Kyoto. Also the experience what it's like to be a sardine in an overly packed Japanese bus, go eat a tasty lunch buffet, see the Imperial Palace and do some shopping.
